Do you remember the film Hackers? You know, the one with Angelina Jolie. Well it would appear as though someone is making a remake or something.

So basically, in the film, there is a little battle between a collection of hackers. All trying to hack something quick than each other, they then eventually hack each other. Well yeah, that appears to be what is happening right now.

In the last few weeks there has been a massive increase in press publicity on hacking incidents.

Right now on Twitter there is a small feud between @th3j35t3r, @lulzsec & @LandryTom. There are also hundreds and hundreds of logs on pastebin. My favourite so far is a ‘chat log’ from ‘two agents’.

It is getting a bit ridiculous really.

Well earlier today I also found another pastebin’ed document ‘disclosing information’ on the lulzsec ‘hackers’.

The document pointed towards a certain, Adrian Lamo. On his wikipedia page it mentions a unreleased film, Hackers Wanted, produced by a certain Kevin Spacey.

I am not gonna lie, I am quite enjoying doing my investigatory work and a bit of digging here and there to try and discover WTF is actually going on.

But I started to think, what if this was all some kind of ridiculous hoax. We all know how PR companies can get the press to write articles or anything without any real proof. Did they actually hack the senate? Yes some hacks have definitely happened. But we all know what a bit of money can do to people.

What if this was all some elaborate marketing scam for a film of some type. Would that not be the GREATEST campaign of all time?

Obviously it is highly unlikely, but wouldn’t that just be totally epic.
