QuickView for Google+
Last week I gained access to Google’s new entry into the social media world. I have been using Google+ quite a lot.
If you have ever used a google product before you may be aware that they like their keyboard shortcuts.
Just like in Google Reader ‘j’ & ‘k’ move back and forward between posts. This works well in the Sparks section of Google+. However, one thing that really got me was having to then click on the story to read it full. Viewing the story would then take me off to another page. I was finding this very counter productive. So I created QuickView for Google+
QuickView for Google+ is a Chrome extension available in the Chrome web store.
It is very simple to use once installed. If you are navigating through the stories with j/k you will notice the story becomes ‘focused’, it has a blue border to the left. Now if you press ‘space’, it then popups in a modal box. Pressing space again closes the modal box.
Now this is very much a beta extension, but it is easily uninstalled if you find problems. If you do find problems let me know.
